Paula brought the puppies back! We had a wee chat about what we were expecting before she arrived and those of us who where there shared some memories of their first visit. We practised being very still and quiet so as not to frighten them but when they arrived, boy! Did we get a surprise! They were very boisterous and excited to see us all again. They chased us around the room and loved cuddles and activity. They didn't mind lots of people and they didn't mind the noise! What a lot of changes happen as puppies grow. We noticed their fur was longer and softer, and their tummies were fatter! Lucky Wiremu is keeping one as his own. He has named it Ben 10. Thank you for sharing your puppies with us Paula and Wiremu.
This week in maths we practised our cooperative skills by working in twos. We have been working on testing our pals on their number recognition and patterns. Try playing it at home. We worked very well at taking turns and of course, working out our maths problems!
We have some new friends in Room 5. Welcome to Isabella and Kishan. They are both learning very quickly and getting settled in. We are so pleased to have you both in Room 5 with us.
Next week is our last week of the term, finishing on Thursday as Friday is Good Friday holiday. We will be collecting reading books and any outstanding library books towards the end of the week. Children who have been at school for six months have received reports this week. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss them. Have a happy and safe weekend everyone.
