Week 2, Term 1

What a busy start to the year we have had. On Wednesday the whole school took part in the blessing of our new buildings which are just about finished and ready for use. We made a sneaky snake and wove our way around the school and through the buildings. We got to touch the walls and leave a part of ourselves to turn them into learning spaces.
Congratulations to Duh Duh who was our Pupil of the Week this week. Duh Duh is always working hard and showing others what to do. You are an excellent role model, well done.

This week we read a book about a dad taking pictures of his family. We made cameras out of cardboard boxes and milk tops. Camera, Smile, CLICK!

Next week we will be reading Teddy Bear Alphabet and Clarence is going to help us by introducing us to some of his friends. Our tricky words will be 'have', 'this', and 'my'.

In maths we are starting our statistics unit and learning about sorting.  We can sort things into groups. We look for things that are the same colour, shape, or type.

Swimming is going well. A reminder that it is compulsory and we all love to try to be brave and try new things at Victory. Remember your togs for next week, hopefully it won't rain when we want to go!
Have a happy and safe week everyone.
