This week we read a book called Lunch Boxes. We asked the question, "What colour lunch box is the most popular in our class?" We copied the idea in the book and stacked our lunch boxes up. Then counted the number of each colour. This is what we found.
A blue lunch box.
And a red lunch box.
And a white lunch box.
And four pink lunch boxes.
And a black lunch box.
Look out! Crash!
We found out that pink was the most popular colour. We made a book about our findings and we drew pictures of our lunch boxes. Come in to Room 5 to read it sometime.
We have also been learning about living things lately. We have talked about the things that living things need. We decided that plants need water, soil, and sun to survive. There have been some plants moved around our school and we watched the landscapers shift them. We were interested to see the roots underneath the trees and were a little worried that they wouldn't get enough water. Luckily it rained that night!
Congratulations to Elly for receiving Pupil of the Week this week for fantastic writing. Elly wrote a very interesting story about a trip to see the dentist. They 'tickled' her teeth! What a great word to use, Elly. Well done.
Rehara also received a special award for her amazing success in swimming. Well done, Rehara.
